Winning the WGC in Flat-Shod Speed Gait 2000
Congratulations to Greg and Amanda Dutton of Misty Mountain Farm in McClure, VA! The Virginia Undertaker was foaled in Bridgeport, Alabama on June 15, 1992. He wasn't ridden until he was four years old.
Rick Mullins (who operates a mortuary service) purchased the Undertaker on July 25, 1998 from John Floyd of Whitwell, Tennessee. The Undertaker had demonstrated tremendous speed in gait at local shows around the Chattanooga, Tennessee area. On some of his off days could actually be found plowing neighbors potatoes!
Undertaker was brought home to Clintwood, Virginia's Mullins Farm L.L.C for training. The combination of trainers, farrier abilities and the desires of the big, black, docile stallion would soon make Undertaker one of the world’s elite. Listed below are a few of Undertaker's accomplishments:
- Two World Grand Championships in Speed Gait
- Several World Championships in Speed Gait
- Numerous State and Local Titles in Speed Gait
- 2002 Speed Gait Horse of the Year
Undertaker is presently being marketed for a specific type of breeding stallion to produce superb speed and flat-shod foals with docile temperaments, known as the "Undertaker Bloodlines". These foals are being developed for a new breed and the gaited endurance rider market and are being bred for stamina, versatility, docility, gait, speed, and conformation. Several of our best paso fino mares will be crossed in order to create this new breed. Registered AGEHA.
