Welcome To The American Gaited Endurance Horse Association!

The Association is comprised of a group of breeders dedicated to creating a specific type of gaited endurance horse.   The American Gaited Endurance Horse is being developed from some of the world's fastest and best gaited horses.   The breed emphasizes gait, forward speed, stamina, conformation, docility, versatility and the innate ability to metabolize oxygen quicker than other gaited breeds.   In fact, the use of a sounding board to clarify gait and heart monitors to track the capability of each individual horse to recoup from fatigue is encouraged in the breeding process.   The goal of the breeding program is to provide riders with a competitive smooth gaited alternative in the sport of endurance riding.   These horses will make a great all-around mount for trail/pleasure, competitive trail, and endurance riding.

Shannon Rivas & Undertaker's Mojo

A specific breed standard was created in order to produce the American Gaited Endurance Horse, including the capability to perform an even four-beat gait at a minimum of 10 m.p.h. with clarity barefooted or keg shod.   These horses will become known as a gaited athlete with superb speed, endurance, and mentality that anyone can ride and will become every family's "prized possession".
